A longer booklet, Policies, Codes and Procedures contains details of the club’s safety statement, child protection policies, disciplinary procedures, recruitment practices and other matters. A copy of this document will be supplied to all members, and is available on our website.

The Club's Constitution is amended on an as needs basis and outlines how the club runs on day to day basis. It outlines membership of the club and structure of the Club.

Codes of Conduct

(A) Train for your own enjoyment, not to please parents, instructors or coaches.
(B) Learn the rules of our sport and abide by them.
(C) Respect your opponents. Treat them, as you would like to be treated.
(D) Do not use foul/Vulgar language, or use unfair or bullying tactics to gain advantage of another opponent.
(E) Always compete to win but recognize that it is not the only aim. Participation is equally important.
(F) Behave in a manner that reflects the quality atmosphere and ethos of the club.
(G) You are responsible for your own gear. Please make sure your name is on it.

Club Safety Rules

Safety is not a set of rules. It is an attitude or frame of mind. Rules alone will not prevent accidents; however, if you keep these rules in mind, you will significantly reduce the risk of accident or injury.

Kilcock Canoe Polo Club requires that members comply with the I.C.U. Safety rules. In particular, we insist upon the following:

The following are the BCU Rules, revised slightly for the start of the 2007/08 National Leagues Season, which are based on the International Canoe Federation Rules V7.00 dated January 2007.The ICF Rules have been left intact in so far as is reasonably possible to help all referees and players understand how the game is played at International level.
