DEVILS GO TO MUNSTER sticky icon

Devils entered the Munster League in Division 1 and did really well on their first outing 14th November winning 2 of their 3 games 5 - 3 and only losing the third game 3 - 2 by the skin of their pearly whites!
Well Done Lads!
Devils team is: George Kosinski, John McSweeney, Sean Hendrick, Justin Cullinane, Marc Denmead & Alan Morgan.

The AGM was held today Saturday 17th October 2009.
The committee of 2008/09 was re-elected. Tom Colton, Peter Fitzgerald, Gillian Devlin, Patricia McCormack, Ciaran McCormack, Lorraine Carr and Kay Fitzgerald.
The Children's Officer is Frances Al Sayyed.
Presentations were made to Club members for their proficiency levels using the badge system designed to showcase their skills.
The Club Person of the Year was announced and trophies presented.
Over 18 2009/2010 is Declan Phelan
Under 18 2009/2010 is Sean Hendrick
Under 15 2009/2010 is Caoimhe O'Ferrall

A contingent of 11 Junior Paddlers and 8 parents had a really enjoyable time at the Paddlefest in Rathdrum in Co.Wicklow over the weekend.
Two days of canoeing, gourmet Bar-B-Que on Saturday followed by Asian cuisine for Sunday lunch were some of the highlights.

Thank you to Colin, our Photographer who captured the paddlers, swimmers, chefs in full swing, the fun and laughter.

The Irish Open was held in Galway last weekend under beautiful blue skies and great polo was played in a great competition at a great venue.

KCPC was well represented by 3 teams who played some fantastic polo and had great craic meeting old friends and making new ones!

Demons were pipped at the post for 1st place in Div 1 in a strange nail biting final by WWKC (3-4). Once again the referee’s outdid themselves, to make it a typical Irish Open final.
Demons: Mark McCormack, Ciaran McCormack, Brian Devlin, Paddy Mooney, Declan Phelan, Sean Delaney & Gareth Carroll.

2009 Kilcock Junior Competition sticky icon

A fantastic day was had by all despite the showers!
The kids rounded off their summer holidays with a great days paddling at Kilcock and will return to school tomorrow, exhausted but with some wonderful memories.
Wildwater, Kilkenny and Kilcullen joined Kilcock to play some great games at a truly memorable Kilcock Junior Open Competition 2009.
U16 was won by Kilcock Sprites and runner up was Aquabratz from Kilkenny.
It was an all Kilcock final in U13 division with Minnows narrowly taking 1st place from Dolphins.

For the fourth time in a row Demons are Irish Club Champions!
Demons beat WWKC in the final 8 - 4. The team is Mark McCormack, Ciaran McCormack, Paddy Mooney, Brian Devlin & Declan Phelan.
Devils also accredited themselves in Division 1 getting 4th place. Devils are coming up fast on the heels of Demons, so watch your backs Demons! Devils team was Gareth Carroll, Liam Hendrick, Sean Hendrick, Alan Morgan, Marc Denmead & John McSweeney.

Ireland finish in 3rd place overall in the canoeing disipline at the Atlantic Watersport Games in Portugal sticky icon

Ireland finished in an overall 3rd position in the canoeing disipline which included canoe polo sprint sea kayaking and long distance. Ireland also finished 7th out of 10 regions, which was an excellent result for a team in a single canoeing disipline.

The team representing Ireland at the Atlantic Watersports Games in Portugal received their winners plaques this evening at the winners presentations. The closing ceremony will be held tomorrow where the final placings for the regions in the overall competition will be announced.
