Our introduction to canoe polo summer programme for children of all ages came to an end on the 9th September. It proved to be a huge success with sixty two children trying out the sport. A big thank you to all our instructors who not only made the classes very informative but more importantly made them fun. We also introduced the sport to sixteen new adults.

Well Done to Irish Mens Team who came 8th at European Canoe Polo Championship. They are now automatically qualified for the Worlds next year.

KCPC Committee and members would like to wish all the Irish teams that have travelled to Madrid to compete in the European Canoe Polo Championships 2011 the very best of luck!
Special wishes go to representatives from KCPC on the Mens team: Mark McCormack, Ciaran McCormack, Paddy Mooney & Declan Phelan. Also on the Mens U21 team: Marc Denmead, Sean Hendrick, John McSweeney & Justin Cullinane.

Congratulations to Demons for winning the 2011 Irish Open held in Galway. Also congratulations to Pirannahs who came second in Division 3 after a thrilling final which took two periods of extra time to decide! Well Done Lads!

Last weekend 23rd/24th July saw the Club Championships held at Clondra Co Longford.
The weather stayed fine and the Championship was won again by KCPC Demons.
The team was Mark McCormack, Ciaran McCormack, Paddy Mooney, Declan Phelan and Sean Hendrick. This was the 6th time in a row that the Club Championship has been won by KCPC under the management of Peter Fitzgerald proving yet again that KCPC is the best canoe polo club in the country!

The Kilcock Open will be held Sat/Sun 16th/17th July 2011.
Entry Fee €100 per team. Entry Form Attached.
All forms must be fully completed including current ICU numbers and returned with cheque by 5pm Wednesday 13th July to Patricia McCormack, Gragadder, Kilcock, Co Kildare. Any queries to 087-6450544.

The Junior Competition that was to be held 25th June will NOW be run in conjunction with Senior competition

Interested in learning how to canoe?

KCPC are running an Adult Introductory Canoeing Course starting
Wednesday 15th June 8pm for 6 sessions. All Courses are run by ICU accredited Instructors. Equipment Supplied. Cost €100.
